PetTooth's Hygienist

Maia Bazjanac (a.k.a. Maia Bee) is a graduate of UC Berkeley and has lived in the Bay Area since 1988. She has worked full-time as an animal dental hygienist since 2001 and has cleaned literally thousands of animals’ teeth. Over the years, in consultation with human dental hygienists and vets, Maia has developed a practice that focuses on helping pet-owners set realistic long-term goals for their pet’s dental health. She is known not only for her ability to communicate with her furry patients, but also for her ability to motivate and empower pet-owners to take charge of their pet’s oral health. She hopes that one day, anesthesia-free teeth cleaning is offered by vets as a standard element of veterinary oral health programs.
